Media: Public transit promotional campaign

Quebec – Until the end of February, the advocacy group Transport 2000 invites everyone to try out public transit, as part of the campaign Moi, je ne modère pas mes transports(“When it comes to transportation, I don’t discriminate”).

The campaign urges people to try public transport in their respective regions. According to Normand Parisien, spokesperson for Transport 2000, members of the public must discover the mass-transit services available to them so that they know what alternatives there are to automobile travel, whenever possible: “A lot of people just aren’t aware of what public-transit options are available where they live,” he says. “We’re asking them to try out the mass-transit services near them, so they know that other possibilities exist.”

Visit the Transport 2000 website and take the time to enter the Moi, je ne modère pas mes transports contest. You could win a Montreal–Vancouver return trip for two by train worth $10,000!

Lastly, be sure to consult the organization’s 2013 user’s guide, Se déplacer autrement, which provides information on every public transit system in the province.
